Revirado means ‘twisted’, ‘turned around’ — and that’s exactly what this music does to tango. Argentine saxophonist and composer Enrique Thompson founded Revirado Project in 2013 as a non-conventional meeting point: a space where tango, jazz and Argentine folk collide with improvisation, spontaneous creation and musical dialogue across cultures. No two concerts are the same. No two lineups are identical. The music takes the shape of wherever it lands.
