I’m an Argentine–European saxophonist, EWI performer, composer, improviser, and producer. Over the years, I’ve performed and led projects across five continents, exploring a wide range of styles including jazz, tango, Argentine folk music, Latin American music, rock, blues, African music, electronic, experimental, and chamber music.
My main artistic focus is Revirado Project, a jazz–tango fusion ensemble built primarily around my original compositions. I also enjoy writing and performing music for films, theater, and multidisciplinary works.
I divide my time between Fuerteventura (Canary Islands), Berlin, and Vienna, collaborating as a guest and sideman with various European groups. A meaningful part of my journey has been coming from a small town in rural Argentina and having the opportunity to study and share stages with many of the musicians I admired in my youth. Today, I perform more than 100 concerts a year. Career highlights include an invitation from Paquito D’Rivera to perform at the closing of the Punta del Este International Jazz Fest, receiving a medal from the French Senate in Paris, and recording and producing 19 albums as a leader and as a sideman on many others.
Beyond performing, I organize two festivals in Fuerteventura and the Canary Islands:
• EcoJazz, focused on music, ecology, and environmental awareness
• Ruta del Jazz, which brings cultural programming to both rural and touristic areas
I also founded Enrique Thompson Music, an agency that connects musicians with events and supports artistic collaboration.
