Enrique Thompson & Revirado Project Selected for WOMEX 2026 with Canarias Suena
Enrique Thompson & Revirado Project have been selected to participate in WOMEX 2026 in Gran Canaria as part of Canarias Suena, an initiative showcasing the diversity and creative talent of the Canary Islands’ music scene.
Representing Canary Islands Music at WOMEX 2026
Saxophonist, composer and producer Enrique Thompson will join a delegation of artists from the Canary Islands at WOMEX 2026, one of the world’s leading international gatherings for the music industry.
The event takes place in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria from October 21 to 25, 2026, bringing together music professionals, festival programmers, booking agents, record labels, producers and cultural organizations from around the world.
Enrique Thompson will be present from October 22 to 25, representing Revirado Project within the Canarias Suena initiative.
The selection provides an opportunity to introduce the project’s musical identity, explore new collaborations and build international connections.
Revirado Project: Where Tango Meets Jazz
Revirado Project explores the dialogue between tango and jazz, connecting musical traditions through contemporary arrangements, improvisation and artistic exchange.
Its participation in WOMEX 2026 offers an opportunity to share this musical approach with an international network of professionals interested in cross-cultural projects and new artistic collaborations.
Being selected alongside other artists from the Canary Islands also highlights the diversity of musical expressions emerging from the archipelago.
